Klinkende Munt January 2024 - Sustainability, receipts and grant decision
The first Klinkende Munt of 2024! This time featuring, among other things, sustainability, receipts and grant decision, but first we introduce Juliëtte and Arjen.
Juliëtte
Hi,my name is Juliëtte and I have been working as a relationship manager at Kop of Munt Hoofddorp since January.
I am 45 years old, born and raised in Hoofddorp and have been working in accountancy for about 22 years. A few times I made a trip to the corporate world, but I always come back to accountancy. It is very diverse and I really like that; not only in terms of clients, but also in terms of activities. No day is boring!
In my spare time, I like to do sports. Cycling, running, boot camp, golf and skiing, but I also regularly go out on my motorbike.
In the short time I have been working here, I have already met a number of relations in Hoofddorp. Hopefully there will be more soon. See you then!
Arjen
Hello, my name is Arjen and from 1 January I have been working in the payroll department of Kop of Munt.
I live in Haarlem together with my wife and 2 youngest sons. Therefore my regular workplace at Kop of Munt is Haarlem, but I will also regularly show my face in Hoofddorp and Amsterdam.
Besides work, I can often be found at the tennis club, where I am treasurer and tournament leader.
I love spending holidays in sunny places. Discovering new places gives a lot of peace and brings back great memories.
I look forward to sharing my knowledge with everyone!
Sustainability
In 2023 a course on sustainability including ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) has been made mandatory for accountants by the NBA (Koninklijke Nederlandse Beroepsorganisatie van Accountants). A number of Kop of Munters recently attended this course.
Large companies will be required to produce a sustainability report from 2025. Initially, this regulation seems to apply to few of our clients but it may have implications. Large companies will ask suppliers to be able to produce the report. Chances are that if you work with large companies, you will start getting questions about your production process, how products are produced and transported and how many emissions are released in the process In the case of services, you may also be asked about materials used or how employees travel. Your buyer will request this information and also demand that you provide it, otherwise they will not fulfill their obligations.
Should you receive a letter because you are in the chain, feel free to contact your relationship manager so we can help answer the questions.
